Report: Jets, Lions have contacted Billick
The New York Jets and Detroit Lions are considering former Ravens coach Brian Billick for their head coaching vacancies, according to a report on NFL.com.
A league source tells NFL.com's Adam Schefter that New York is planning to interview Billick this week and that he is a viable candidate for the Jets' job.
The Lions have also contacted Billick about their head coaching position, according to another source in the NFL.com report.
Billick went 80-64 during his nine-year tenure as Ravens coach, which included a victory in the 2001 Super Bowl. Billick was fired after going 5-11 during the 2007 season, his worst year with the team.
