Scouting Report: Erik Ainge, QB, Tennessee

Erik Ainge should be a player just because of the genes that his family has? The senior from Tennessee is related to Danny Ainge, ex-Celtics great, but is that going to be enough to see a second Ainge perform at the highest levels of professional sports? I am not sure, but I have to believe that some team, probably in the middle of the second day will give a look at this young man and draft him. Ainge has to work on not getting sloppy with his mechanics and fundamentals; that usually happens when he is on an off day and can not get into the “zone.”

Scouting Report

Pros: He did a lot with what he had in college; Erik Ainge might not be a great quarterback, but his receivers were definitely not great either.

Cons: One word: inconsistent.

Overall: He will make a team, probably because in the end the young man does work hard. Scouts and general managers love the way he fights until the end.
